Materials used during a paint party

During the event, artists teach you step-by-step and different brush techniques to accomplish the featured painting. As the artist is instructing, they are also painting along so people have a visual with a verbal explanation. Materials that are traditionally used for paint parties are canvas and acrylic paints. Acrylic paints are water-based paints that have a plastic finish once it has dried. It works very well with water to give a watercolor look.
Other materials used for paint parties are ceramics, wood panels, wineglass, and beer mugs. Glass surfaces use Enamel paints for durability and makes the paint dishwasher safe. Another great option for paint parties is black light painting! What makes this special and different is the black light effect. Black light must be turned on within the studio and neon paints are provided. When the black light hits the neon paint, it will shine as if it glowed in the dark. This brings a whole other dimension to painting!
